VRM Labs are a virtual and physical ’sandbox’, the place to come and play with emerging VRM tools and technologies.
- For organisations to view and play with applications and investigate what it means for their business
- For developers to get deeper into VRM issues and implementation
- Events and meetings, seminars, workshops, individual advice
Customer-vendor locked see-saw
Customers and vendors are a locked see-saw with one hugely outweighing the former. Like with a real world see-saw, the fun is spoiled for both. Giving individuals tools to redress the balance, the pressure from customers should level the players.
So here, at VRM Labs, we will focus on those tools as well as articulation of the framework and principles that help develop and evolve them.
From learning about existing technologies that could be used for VRM, to directly developing or supporting development of such tools, VRM Labs will gather information and expertise to help companies to join in the project.
For organisations to:
- Get early access to technologies and play with them
- Investigate what it means for business
- See what is being built - technologies, tools, applications, standards, methods etc
- Get advice on how to apply those to business models, markets, supply chains etc
- Be part of VRM development efforts
For developers or apps and tool designers to:
- Get deeper into VRM issues and implementation
- Provide space for VRM applications & tools to be tested and presented
- Collaborate with other developers and projects
For all:
- Connect people
- Events, meetings & workshops, demos
How to join VRM Labs:
VRM Labs is for companies wishing to support VRM. It is affliated with VRM Hub, started by Adriana Lukas, and has been organising monthly evening gatherings since January 2008 as well as one-day workshops, Scratch your VRM itch. These events are driven by voluntary effort and support from the existing community.
We set the membership fee for businesses interested in supporting VRM at £10,000 believing that as the movement gains momentum VRM Labs can bring understanding and value to companies. The resulting funds will be directed towards research, organisation of events, workshops, projects and adoption.
To join or get more information, contact Adriana Lukas at adriana dot lukas at gmail dot com.
