Simon, not sure you read the review then. Everything you put into chi.mp is exportable in open format files and you can delete the account. My review of chi.mp is neither positive nor negative, it is merely trying to describe its functionality and approach to user data. I believe it is detailed enough for your comment to be unwarranteed.

I looked at chi.mp, then had a very close read of their terms and conditions, and thought... nah. This is some island with the .mp domain suffix that will always basically own any unique ...mp name and reserves the right to charge for it in the future. Plus; this is about 'our/my' personal data. It might seem convenient and cool to have all this stuff aggregated in one handy place, (with "privacy options" well that's put my mind at rest.... not) but ultimatley its just another fairly unaccoutable 'door' into the Web's mega-copy machine, and I think one day, many people may find that once given (copied into the cloud) that you can never really take this stuff back.

Very thorough review, thanks! We've made quite a lot of improvements since this review was first penned, I'd love you see an updated review, although it might be a good idea to wait a couple of days until the spike of new sites slows down ;-)

Thanks again!
